Release notes for ArcGIS Enterprise 12.0

Listed below are the new and updated resources and operations added to the ArcGIS Portal Administrator API at 12.0.

The release note entries for previous supported versions are maintained until those versions of ArcGIS Enterprise reach the end of their support lifecycle. Once a version of ArcGIS Enterprise is retired, their release note entries are archived.

No new endpoints were added at ArcGIS Enterprise 12.0.

The About resource has been updated to return information as to when backups of the organization were created and when patches have been installed for Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Data Store. While patch information is returned for federated servers, patch information is only accurately returned for servers using version 12.0 or later. Older versions will not return any patch information, even if patches have been installed.
The Create Site, Update External Content, and the Add and Remove language operations can now be performed asynchronously.
The Import Site and Export Site operations have been updated with a number of improvements:
- Both operations can now be performed asynchronously.
- The location parameter has been updated to accept the prefix of a cloud storage location as input.
- A new parameter, locationConfig, defines the location configuration for file systems or cloud-based storage systems that exported site configurations could be saved to. Example configurations have been added for AWS S3 and Azure Blob. Previous cloud-specific parameters for the Export Site operation have been deprecated with this update.
The code filter for Query Logs has been updated to specify specific log codes to exclude from the query results.
The Mismatch operation has been updated to return inconsistencies between both the database and the index counts. The response now also returns two new properties, missingFromIndex and missingFromDatabase, which list the usernames, group IDs, and item IDs of content missing from either count.
