The ArcGIS Instant Apps update includes the new features, app templates, and enhancements listed below.
Configuration
- Attribute filtering now features a full-page configuration experience, allowing you to create filters for your app users to use.
Templates
- The functionalities of the Basic and Media Map templates, including the swipe tool, have been merged into a single template: the Basic (Media Map) template. Users can still configure existing Media Map apps, but the Media Map template is now removed from the home page app gallery. When you create apps, use the Basic (Media Map) template. On the My Apps page, all Media Map and Basic apps appear in one folder named Basic (Media Map). Additionally, the Basic (Media Map) template has a new configuration option that allows you to enable sketch tools. App users can then draw symbols, lines, polygons, and polyline graphics.
- The Compare template now ensures that the toolbar on the right side of the app displays the theme settings you select. In Multiple maps mode, the Layer list setting is now available. The Border line setting has been added that allows you to choose the pixel thickness that separates each inset map.
- The Manager template now includes bulk attribute editing. Additionally, improved related record navigation in the table and a new setting that adjusts layer visibility have been added.
- The Nearby and Zone Lookup templates have a new option to search for results by clicking the map. You can find the closest address location or the x,y coordinate location by enabling the Use map click location setting.
- Attribute filtering has been added to the Public Notification template.
- The Reporter template now allows you to set a boundary within which users can provide feedback and reports. Rich text editing is now available in submitted reports. Additionally, the option has been added to customize the messages that appear when comments are submitted and when a report is submitted outside of the set boundary.
- The Sidebar template has a new configuration option that allows you to enable sketch tools. App users can then draw symbols, lines, polygons, and polyline graphics. The Sidebar template also includes bulk attribute editing. You can also enable the Edit in table setting, which allows users to edit records directly in the table.
- In the Streamflow Viewer template, you can enable filtering of the stream service by country and stream order.
